Corrosion Inhibitors
During shipping and storage – moisture, ambient chemicals and temperature combine in the atmosphere to cause corrosion of metal. To prevent this from happening to your cargo, Topax uses a Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) which forms a molecular barrier on any metal surface.
VCI works continuously to prevent corrosion. When the temperature, and humidity conditions are most likely to cause corrosion, our unique VCI formulation steps up it's effectiveness. Your valuable products will emerge from shipping or storage in pristine, original condition.
All of our VCI products comply with military specifications and they are 100% nitrite free and non hazardous.
Application
Our VCI products are available for all packaging applications. We supply polyethylene sheets for wrapping larger products and polyethylene zip lock bags for smaller products. We also carry emitters which distribute VCI throughout enclosed spaces, as well as various coatings for direct application on clean metal surfaces.
